Case study · Stolen Goat

G.O.A.T, the hub that runs Stolen Goat

Stolen Goat sells cycling, running and triathlon kit online, makes custom kit for clubs, events and companies, and supplies wholesale customers. We built the business one place to run from, and called it G.O.A.T.

The problem

Orders lived in one system, custom kit in another, stock in a third, and everything else in spreadsheets. Answering a simple question meant asking the one person who knew which tab was right.

What we built

  1. 01

    Today

The team starts the day here: what needs a look across sales, stock, purchasing, orders and custom kit.

Progress against the year’s goal sits on the same screen, and every figure opens the list behind it.

The G.O.A.T dashboard: trading figures for the month and year, progress against the yearly goal, and stock and purchasing counts that need a look.

  2. 02

    Orders and picking

Every order from every channel, picked and packed from one list.

A picking run sends the day’s orders to the warehouse and holds back anything that needs a look first.

The picking screen in G.O.A.T: the latest run with orders sent, held and failed, the orders that need a look, and a pick list to download.

  3. 03

    Custom kit and proposals

Clubs, events and companies, with custom kit proposals they sign off online.

Every project keeps its kit, stock, purchase orders and tasks together on one page.

  4. 04

    Purchasing and stock

Purchase orders, supplier chasers and stock levels you can trust.

Late orders stand out, and one click drafts the chaser emails for someone to check and send.

  5. 05

    Reports and forecast

Sales by stream against the year’s targets, every morning.

A forecast shows where the year is heading, and how it was worked out.

The G.O.A.T trading report: revenue, profit, margin and orders for the year to date, and a year-end forecast measured against the goal.

  6. 06

    Marketing calendar

Every launch, newsletter and promotion on one calendar.

Clashes are flagged before they happen, and ideas sit beside the plans until they’re ready.

    Prospect research

A weekly shortlist of organisations likely to need custom kit.

Each one is scored, with the reason and a first step, ready for the sales team to pick up.

It keeps growing

The team files a bug or an idea from inside G.O.A.T. In the second half of October alone we resolved more than 100 of their requests, most the same day or the next. No off-the-shelf tool changes that fast.

Outcomes

  • 01Three systems and a stack of spreadsheets, replaced by one
  • 02Used every day by the whole team, from customer service to the warehouse
  • 03Team requests often live the next day
